If it helps I’ve had a horrible bug the last two weeks . What can I do to help it’s infuriating as I’m so tired xxx

That sounds annoying. Look up restless leg syndrome. I think it’s usually a lack of something, like a vitamin or something. Or could you just be dehydrated?

BooneyBeautiful · 13/04/2025 03:52

Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). Try magnesium supplements.

Trashpalace · 13/04/2025 04:05

You can get spray on magnesium to put direct in your skin each night. It feels weird but worked. Oral supplement with chelated (?) magnesium also were recommended.

Get up and walk around for 10 minutes
Hopefully it will help

happy20218 · 13/04/2025 04:18

Oh wow I had no idea this was a thing ! ’ve just done some stretching and I’ve had some magnesium. Would a hot bath make it worse . Such a strange feeling . Xxx

Iron infusion can help as well

I eat a banana every day (I hate bananas!) which has helped enormously with my restless legs.
(I have to eat them on my own though, because I pull a face the whole time I am eating them!)

Magnesium supplements and spray

couple of bars of ivory soap at bottom of bed. MUST be ivory so something like imperial leather will do

coconut water before bed

This was my main menopause symptom- I’d never had it before and had just smiled when people told me how bad it was. UNTIL I suffered with it ! Hrt sorted mine out. But my mum really struggles with it, the GP has just put her on Gabapentin for it, which she starts next week.

nomorezoflora · 13/04/2025 12:47

If you're on any medication, check the side effects lists for restless legs and muscle pain. Statins are the common one for this; usually swapping out to a different med can avoid it.

candycane222 · 13/04/2025 16:13

I get this particularly if I have exercised after about 5 or 6 pm. Magnesium (oral and/or spray) helps me. Sometimes simply getting up and moving to a different bed so I know I can fidget freely is enough. Luckily for me it only tends to last around an hour or so at most.

But aaargh it is annoying, you have my sympathy!
