Dd and ds have just had some yogurts, the chocolate/vanilla petit filous ones, i have just realised the date on them were yesterday! should i expect them to hurl anytime soon?

Or should it be ok? as it is only a day.

Oh crap.

I'm sure they'll be fine. ONe day won't hurt.

Disenchanted · 15/05/2008 15:52

Don't worry, Im pretty sure my DS has just eaten an off jelly.

maidamess · 15/05/2008 15:53

My kids regularly eat yoghurts a week out of date. One sniff tells you if its off or not.

suzywong · 15/05/2008 15:53

oh ffs, the Romanians and their ilk, aka the originators of yoghurt keep the stuff for days and days and days in a virtual petri dish and it does them good, puts hairs on their chests and all.
Get it down their necks!

WanderingTrolley · 15/05/2008 15:53

They will be fine.
"Best before" and "use by" do not mean the same as "will kill you a second after midnight on."

Most food dated with large margin for error. I find yoghurts last well past their dates.

lailasmum · 15/05/2008 15:54

They will be fine I am sure they must give day or twos grace on those dates anyway and yoghurt lasts a lot longer than most of the sell by dates say any way.

pucca · 15/05/2008 15:57

Thank god for that, had visions of vomiting all night, thanks everyone.

I just had a whiff, and it smells ok i just thought with it being yogurt, you know.

Have eaten yoghurt that was about 9 days out of date before
it was fine

I don't normally worry about a day or 2-if it looks and smells ok it normally is ok

ivykaty44 · 15/05/2008 16:07

Supermarkets etc put a date on as they have to - it does nt mean that the food automaticly goes bad as the clock strikes midnight

Just me being ott again then
