Strange rash on tummy for 4 days now

I have attached a photo (please excuse my podgy tum!).

This rash has been there at least since Thursday. I assumed it was heat rash from my hot shower. Anyway, it’s stayed and is still there this evening.

While the weather has been sunny, it hasn’t even been hot or sticky where I live. In fact today has been rather cold, I sat outside on a bench earlier this afternoon and was shivering a bit by the end. I have not been exercising or sweating at all, and I have worn different clothes each day. No new toiletries.

I feel completely well in myself. But what could it be? Should I see a GP? pharmacist?

Id take an Antihistamine and see if it goes.
Have you been unwell recently?

lookingforshoes · 06/04/2025 21:41

No I haven’t been unwell at all. I don’t have any antihistamines in the house but I can get some tomorrow and will see if it makes a difference. Thank you.

Sorry to be bumping this, but it’s been a week now and the rash is still there. Been taking antihistamines to no effect.
So weird that it’s on my torso and nowhere else on my body.

I still feel totally well, so feel silly going to the GP. It doesn’t itch or hurt, so not sure what I’d be asking the Pharmacist for either.

Is it safe to just ignore do you think?

Would welcome advice, I live alone and have nobody as a sounding board about this.

Is this what measles rash looks like? I’ve been vaccinated, but apparently breakthrough measles is possible (so google tells me), not that I’ve been in contact with anyone who has measles….

If it's not going, I think you should ask professional advice. My sister had a persistent rash - it turned out to be what got her diagnosed as coaeliac. I'm not suggesting it's that, but it could be something else entirely.

Time for the GP if it's been there over a week and not respoding to antihistamines.

Greenfingers37 · 09/04/2025 17:44

I had an unexplained rash and ended up being diagnosed with coeliac disease too! Worth getting checked out.
