Thrush and natural yogurt. What's the approved method ?

Ok, so I have a dose. Not nice.

I've never gone down the yogurt route, always the over the counter method for me. I have some nat yog in the fridge, so I have a few questions...

How much ? - Should I smear a bit thick gloopy layer on or just a light covering ?

Where ? - All over the area or just specifically where the irritation is ?

How long for ? - How long do I leave it on for for it to work ? I guess I rinse it off afterwards ?!

I have a pot of organic (natch), probiotic, plain, natural yogurt. Is it the right stuff ?

I know this thread makes me seem like a moron, btw, but I am desperate. I couldn't be fagged to namechange.

ermm there's no delicate way of putting this NDP you take a tampon, dunk it in the yoghurt and insert it in yer foof- it nearly as messy as a pessary , but it does work

nickytwotimes · 14/05/2008 19:28

I smear it thickly (ooh er missus!)
i've a friend that puts it on a tampon?! no thanks!
i'm afraid I've always had to resort to otc in the end...

nickytwotimes · 14/05/2008 19:29

Ah, well, now we know where I've been going wrong then, eh...

NomDePlume · 14/05/2008 19:29

overnight should do it - wear your mankiest knicks tho

Tinker · 14/05/2008 19:32

Can't remember really but I guees you could take it out after 1/2 hour or so? As long as it has deposited the goods in the appropriate pigeonhole it should work I think.

bugger, was hoping for a bit of action later

Overnght sounds gag-worthy, but if it helps then it is worth a try, I guess !
