DD13 bad stomach pains for over a week

DD13 has had bad stomach pains for a week. Off school. Began with pain, nausea, loose stool. Didn't actually vomit. Headache. Slight temperature. Fatigue.

Initially assumed it was a bug and would pass but now on day 8 and she still has stomach pains and slight headache and fatigue. The stomach pain is worse when she eats - sort of sharp griping pain. Also worse at night. Low level ache the rest of the time.

She's barely been out of bed all week. All she's eating is toast.

Dr was not overly concerned. Checked for appendicitis and ruled out. Running tests on her stool and urine.

She has history of acute stomach issues over the last six months or so - vomiting and diarrohea episodes - seems to get it about once a month, usually in the night. Gone in a day or so. Was on my list to get investigated. Wonder if this maybe connected although it's manifesting differently.

Any ideas what it could be? I'm worried she won't make school next week.

I’d get a second Dr opinion as a lot can go wrong other than the appendix. A hernia, diverticulitis, gastritis,…

An umbilical hernia might explain the constant on and off issues for months

If she gets worse, I’d consider the ER for a quick second opinion.

Has she started her periods yet? If the D&V is monthly, is there a link to her cycle?

Is it stomach pain or could it be from another organ / area?

Yes she started her periods at 11. I did consider whether it could be endometriosis, but the pain appears to be in the upper optimum area.

I’d be taking her to an and e if the pain is severe. Doctors can’t always diagnose appendicitis in the early stages and it may also be something like a uti or kidney stone.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this??
