UTC? Tell me about your kidney infections

Think I'm suffering from a Kidney infection.

Just under 2 weeks ago started having a weird tinging down below - quite unpleasant but bearable. Wee stick tests all ok and toughed it out. Cystitis sachets relieved a bit.

Weds I started getting pain in my flank and thinking it was kidney got a 3 day course of nitrofurantoin. It's done nothing, GP has just given me more.

Am I overreacting by going to an Urgent Treatment Centre already - pain is horrific. No fever, chills and wee is clear and normal looking. I feel I need a scan or something.

I have hashimoto's which is where immunity attacks thyroid otherwise healthy.

No YANBU. Go to urgent treatment. This sounds like how mine started. I have never known pain like it. I was collected in an ambulance and I can recall the difference in the ambulance people's mood when I commented this hurt more than Labour. They took that so serious.
