I think I have burst my eardrum at the theatre last night! How would I know?

I know it sounds unlikely

Went to see Never so Good at the NT last night (the one about Harold MacMillan)

They had a plane crash scene where the special effects were so loud - at one point my ear suddenly started huring excruciatingly. Has hurt on and off since and felt very odd when the wind blew in it last night/this am

Is still hurting but not as much

don't know, though I did have this when I was younger - can't remember what it felt like apart from hurting. When the doctor told me I was so shocked I almost fainted and had to be carried home in my brother's push chair (I was about 10)

well am going to the dr this pm to get it checked
I will be VERY cross with them if they have perforated it!

Surely they should ensure that levels of noise are appropriate??
