I had a tight walking boot/sock combo and my toe suffered. It has been like this for some weeks. Occasional jabes of pain. Does it need a podiatrist?
Thanks.

I would try the GP first and see what they say.

I wore a pair of trainers that were too small running once and had something similar. I'm no podiatrist but it looks like a nail trauma. My nail did become loose and actually fall off in the end but it grew back without any issues. Just keep it clean and wear non rub-y shoes. But if in lots of pain get it checked.

Yes to podiatrist. My husband had similar due to sport and he ended up losing the nail!! But the podiatrist was wonderful and cut it all back and fixed it. The gp was useless, they just kept giving him antibiotics.

GP's aren't generally great with feet, they don't do anything with veruccas or ingrowing toe nails for example, we have had to see a Podiatrist privately for these with The DC
