Spot on skin getting bigger. Pic - what could it be?

Obviously I know I need to see a doctor. I have requested an appointment via ask my GP and have been emailed to say that a particular doctor isn't in until Friday so they will pass it on then to see if I can be triaged for an appointment.

There's been a blemish there for a while but in the last couple of weeks it's really grown so I'm a bit concerned.

Anyone know what I might be dealing with here?

Could be a keratosis which is a result of sun damage. The pic on the nhs site linked is a bit extreme it can just be slightly raised, skin coloured. Your GP will refer to dermatology if any doubt.

Thank you. I'm hoping they get back to me within the next couple of days to let me know if I can have an appointment. If not, I'm not sure what to do as I'd like it checked due to how quickly it's grown.

I had a lump on my scalp which was quite similar to yours. The Dr said it was a cyst and unless it got bigger not to worry about it.

If you’re desperate to see someone before the Dr, you could always go and see what a pharmacist has to say about it- but obviously se the dr also.
