Am dreading it really but he has sleep apnoea, sweaty at night, grumpy, no appetite etc and so I am awaiting an appointment for him within the next 3 months.

Wexham and Reading are near us but as we are new to the area we are not sure which hospital would be best.

Any stories or opinions?

TIA

Reading Reading Reading - is Frimley not an option?

minster · 14/05/2008 18:49

Royal Berks, honestly avoid Wrexham Park. The paeds in Reading are good, WP has a dire repuation.

Dont know about Frimley.

Dr just mentioned Reading and Wexham and interestingly someone else said to avoid Wexham!!

Depends on the surgeons TBH I would say avoid Wexham BUT there are a few really nice good surgeons there my mum was the practice manager for most of them on the private side & she knows the ones that are as nice to their NHS patients as the private ones. What the standard of care is nursing wise though I'd have to find out.

Similarly I have been told to avoid Reading like the plague so you can't win!!

CAT me if you want Collision with the name of your surgeon (or his team) & I'll do some research for you best not name names here for fear of getting Mn into trouble!!

Where do you live?

I'd advise staying away from Wrexham Park, had 2 awful A&E experiences there and never heard anyone with a good word to say about the place!
