Short bowel syndrome diarrhoea

I had a bowel resection 2 months ago. Have prob been left with SBS and take cholastiramine and a low fiber high protein diet.

feeling miserable tonight as have been to the toilet 10 times over the last 3.5 hours. Just ned it to stop so can get some sleep.

Hi I had my bowel resection 18 months ago. I know everyone is different but I took about a year for my bowel to calm down and get back to a sort of normal. It’s still early days x

Really struggling to sleep. Have napped but still waking up every half and hour or so for the toilet its really watery and like baby pooh yellow. Despite cavilon barrier cream am getting sore.

I can highly recommend a portable bidet bottle to help with soreness. I have a severe bowel condition, and when in flare up I can be going 10 plus times a day. Using warm water from a bidet bottle to wash each time meant I was getting far less sore. It was a game changer for me!

Thanks have ordered a bedit. It just gets so exausting as things are worse at night.

Thanks on the bidet suggestions made such a Difference. Are there any other tips which will help mannage this and work?
