I've had a numb/tingly hand all day today...thoughts?

It doesn't hurt, but is very distracting and irritating.

Well it could be many different things causing it. Are there any other symptoms? Is this the 1st time it has happened? Have you been doing anything different to usual?

Its probably best to get it checked out by a Dr though especially if it happens again

I had carpel tunnel when I was pregnant, although it doesn't really feel like that. I get numbness when I get migraines, but I don't have a migraine today.

Damn, really don't feel like going to the GP, who yesterday refused to give me an appointment for my ill DS

I get this all the time, is just RSI and tendinitis in my case.

Migraines and numbness down one side can be signs of a TIA(mini stroke) so best to get it checked out just in case

carpel tunnel- esp if you are pregnant, if it gets worse, you may need a splint

not pregnant atm. I'm abit freaked out now. Will phone the GP. I've had it before in my left foot. Today its in my left hand.

Could you have slept awkwardly on that side ?

Its probably not anything serious as so many things can cause it but you are best to get it checked out, just in case and to put your mind at rest.
