Tried and tested hair growth supplements?

Hair is falling out at quite a rapid rate.
It's actually starting to upset me quite a bit. I'm under quite a bit of stress at the moment so possibly that is the cause as bloods apparently all normal.
Needing a good tonic or supplement to give hair a boost if anyone could recommend one?

I have thinning hair too and have been looking for something to help. I found this a good listen (pod cast which tests hair supplements etc) and have bought a caffeine shampoo after listening. Only a few days in so too early to tell. Good luck . www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0025l23

I've been using Plantur 39 shampoo and tonic. It's been three months and I think it's starting to make a difference.

I was losing a lot of hair due to illness & medication. I started taking super complex vitamin B.
Went to hairdresser & got a shorter cut than normal.
Also started using L'Occitane Volume & Strength shampoo.
Loss reduced massively after 2 weeks.
Noticed regrowth after 8 weeks.
Went back to my hairdresser after a year. She couldn't believe the difference.
I'm 2 years on now. My hair looks thick & healthy. Still using the shampoo.
(No connection to L'Occitane. Just a happy customer).

Check your iron levels are above 70. This is well above what the blood test considers 'normal'.

I was sceptical but I started taking marine collagen four months ago and my head is sprouting little baby hairs everywhere.

Check your iron, ferritin and B12 levels. If it's hormonal, the best thing is using Minoxidil 5%. Collagen supplements and shampoos don't really work (listened to a R4 show featuring hair loss scientists about this recently).
