Anyone had trigeminal neuralgia?

Hi

Ive been having a sharp stabbing pain in the top of my cheekbone for a good year. Around where you would put a highlighter / blusher.

The pain is bearable but I wish it would stop. Comes in waves. It doesn’t feel like toothache, or if it is it’s well into my bone.

Its occurred to me that it could be neuralgia along my maxillary nerve. I’d do clench my jaw badly at night which I wonder has set it off?

But I’ve read it is 10/10 excruciating pain. Which it isn’t. Anyone any experiences?

@Gettingonabitnow I know an old post OP But did you ever get to the bottom of what you have. I have the exact same as what you describe. Neuralgia type symptoms but not enough to want a nerve cutting but makes my day miserable but not impossible to leave with. Comes and goes. I think the cold snap has brought it on but I've had it well over 10 or 15 years. Been in remission for a while but back the last few days. Get really sensitive scalp/hair with it too
