Hi ladies just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I got put on 310mg of iron every other day as my ferritin and B12 was quite low, ive been taking the tablets for almost 4 weeks, last few weeks ive felt great but I’ve had irregular bleeding since January when I came off my depo, ive went back on and it hasn’t calmed down yet but it’s not heavy. I went back on the depo on the depo last week to stop it and on Friday morning it hit me like a tonne of bricks, I have felt exhausted, breathless, not wanted to move off the couch. On Thursday night I did have a sore throat and ear so I’m wondering if ive had a bug or something or picked something up from the kiddos, all ive wanted to do is sleep and that’s not like me at all. I feel dreadful and im worried somethings not right but I do have health anxiety, im back to work tomorrow after calling in on Friday. I still have colour and stuff in my face just some lovely dark circles under my eyes, I don’t know if ive maybe overdone it recently. I work with children then parent solo most days as husband works shifts, haven’t had a child free night in 7 months, anyone else had an experience like this? Please reassure me, ive felt so tired, weak and just not me at all 😩 love from one anxious mamma

The exhaustion and breathlessness is likely the anaemia. Sore throat and ear more likely to be a bug,but if you're low in some vitamins and minerals, your immune system might not be st its peak.

I was on 200mg ferrous sulphate twice a day for a month last time I was tested for iron (because of long-lasting flooding period,) it can take a while to build back up. I've had something for B12 before, too, but I don't remember the dose. I still have colour in my cheeks and do on - I only tend to get pale if I'm literally about to faint.
