I've been feeling rubbish for about 10 days ago. Started with sinusitis - annoying but not generally a big deal - and has progressed into some weird virus since that's affecting my whole body. I went to the GP last week and ended up being sent to A&E because my heart rate was very high (>120 bpm). Had a number of tests there (blood, urine, x ray, ecg) and was given two bags of fluids. Blood tests were a bit all over the place but indicative of some kind of virus/infection. Discharged with antibiotics and I've been recovering at home since.
Thing is, I'm not getting much better. Some of the symptoms have resolved (my temp is normal generally now, last week it was either a mild fever or below 36o. My heart rate is generally below 100 now per my Apple Watch (which I know is not accurate per se but it gives the relative rate to last week when it was high so I can see it has come down)).
I still have/getting worse:
Viral rash, all over my body (blanching) and very itchy. The doctors looked at this in A&E and weren't worried but it's very annoying and doesn't respond to anti-histamines
Intense pain every time I move my limbs, it's like a wave of lactic acid comes over them when I try to do anything, even lifting up my arms or moving from sitting to standing.
Feel very weak, maybe more dizzy today than other days and very fatigued.
I'm trying to drink lots of fluids but I'm not sure my urine output matches that.
My blood pressure is at the lower end of normal but it generally runs a bit high so it's quite low for me.
It feels like it would be sensible to see the GP tomorrow but would they think I was wasting their time given A&E saw me on Weds?
Thank you!
