What the heck is this awful rash

Been feeling a bit off colour for a couple of days and woken up with this horrible rash!

Photos not very clear. Are some of the darker spots freckles or moles? Is it just in that area? Are they raised, itchy?

I'd probably try some paracetamol and an antihistamine to see if that helps, or try a pharmacist.

No. No moles. The photo does not really do justice its red and purple red spots

Take antihistamine and use some hydrocortisone cream and see if that helps. Have you used any new shampoo or face cream?

I can't really see the rash, but if you've been feeling off and the rash is localised you might want to consider shingles. A pharmacist would be able to help. If it is shingles the sooner you get treatment the better.

If it's just on one side of your face, then it could be shingles. You might need antivirals to help reduce spread

It actually looks like petechiae to me, have you had a bad cough or vomiting? That can cause petechiae round the face
