B12 active - 52 pmol
Vitamin 2 - 38 nmol

Are these normal? Low? If low, how low?

Thanks

I get B12 injections and my understanding is that your blood results indicate that your active B12 level is considered low. The healthy range for active B12 is between 38 and 188 pmol/L, but levels below 70 pmol/L are often considered suboptimal and may require supplementation. I get tired when I am due an injection.

For Vitamin D , a level of 38 nmol/L is considered insufficient because a normal range is generally 50 nmol/L and above

But you are not on deaths door by any means.

@PrettyPickle - thank you.

I am feeling very fatigued at the moment and almost always need a nap to get through the day. This might well explain it

What are the normal ranges at your lab? Different labs have different results.

If your results are in the normal range, then yes, they are normal.

Sorry can you explain that, "if your results are in the normal range" which they aren't, "they are normal"?

Sorry not writing this sarcastically, I just don't understand your statement?

How was your iron?

I haven't got anything to hand to double check this against but my recollections are
Vit D should be a minimum of 50 and B12 over 200 if not a bit higher.
Have you had ferritin tested, what's that like?

Thank you.

The reason I ask is that these are what came back (home test via Boots/Health Unlocked). They have flagged Vit D as low, but the B12 is showing as normal range (albeit at the lower end). However, I'm experiencing symptoms - particularly fatigue and muscle twitches under the eye) - that could be explained by the B12 level.

However I'm wondering if I'd be able to get eg B12 injections as it's flagging as normal range
