dd 13 with high fever no other symptoms

how long before i should call the gp out?
she is being kept cool ( fan /ice)and hydrated( water and ice).feels nauseous but no vomiting.she has a temp of 104.i am really worried.she is sleeping now. temp since this morning.poor love

I'd do it now. A fever of unknown origin always needs checking out. The chances are te GP should send her to your local childrens A&E to see a paediatrician if they can't find a cause so be prepared. You really should call them right now though.NHS Direct can get hold of them for you. Do you know the number?

temp lowered now and she is able to sit up. gp told me to keep an eye on her, but the fever seems to have broken. she is just really tired and has not been sick.gp thinks it is prbably a virus combined with getting overheated- she suffers form heat stroke occasionally.have been advised ot give her a cool bath this eve if she is able. she managed to watch dr. who
gp is calling back tomorrow to check her.
gawd it frightened me...

You know it's infectious? seperate utensils etc as it's spread through saliva. Did the blood tests show anything else?

I've had that, it can be horrid. Poor thing, I hope she's feeling better soon.
