dd1 4 fractured her gum he day before yesterday. she has compressed her teeth and at least 2 possibly four of her front teeth are dead meaning that they will turn black, which is a pain but at least it happened to her baby teeth.
she was off nursery yesterday to go to the dentist who said there is a fracture in the bone behind the gums and she needs to be carefull not to knock her mouth as it could make it worse and the bleeding will start again.
when she did it there was a lot of blood it was literally pouring out of her mouth down her neck!!!! when she noticed the blood she panicked and went hysterical! about her knee funnily enough she did not realise that the blood was from her mouth!
anyway my question is do i send her to nursery this afternoon with the risk that she might knock her mouth again and start panicking about the blood while i am not there also this would make the fracture worse causing further dental probs or do i let her stay at home and give her over the weekend to let it start healing?
i know the teachers are there to look after her but with that many kids it is unrealistic to expect them to be able to watch my dd constantly, also at snack time she wont be able to join in as she can only eat mush right now
