Blood in urine on test strip

A while back I noticed my wee looked a bit different- a faint greasy layer on top and that it smelled a bit stronger. I decided to get some dip strips because it didn't feel enough to go to the gp. This has been going on for some months now, and I don't have any other symptoms, but the dip strips are showing a trace amount of blood in every sample. Is this something I should get investigated?

I always get trace blood on my urine dips, have done for years. Microscopic blood in urine (ie you can only see it under a microscope, not with the naked eye) is fairly common and not usually cause for concern. By all means see a doctor but try not to worry x

Also it’s common if you run or have a heavy work out routine, or you are overweight.

Oh this is reassuring, thank you! I am not overweight, nor do I have a workout routine of note, but it's good to know that it's potentially normal. I have no other symptoms at all, and it's been the same for a while now. Thank you for replying.
