He has been unwell a couple of days - very hot and saying his neck hurts which I presumed to be his throat. Just now he was sick all over me. Milky white chunky stuff like cottage cheese. Dont want to over react but am concerned. Would you go to GP?

yes it's meant to be tepid isn't it.

egypt · 10/05/2008 11:43

no its meant to be warm. tepid will make the body warm itself up. trying to find a link

eenybeeny · 10/05/2008 13:15

slightly different but I have heard drinking a hot cup of tea will cool you down???

oh i always thought the definition of tepid was lukewarm ...

egypt · 12/05/2008 03:41

yes tepid and lukewarm is the same. both mean not hot not cold. when you touch it feels like nothing.

nappyaddict · 12/05/2008 08:35

now i'm confused lol. i thought you said it was meant to be warm. is warm and lukewarm not the same?

egypt · 12/05/2008 12:20

lukewarm is coolish. you need proper warm bath water to make the body cool itself down.

egypt · 12/05/2008 12:20

no, lukewarm isn't cool - but it's only just warm.. like a baby's bottle warm.

Tonsilitus?

nappyaddict · 12/05/2008 16:23

i suppose it depends on how warm your baby drinks their milk ds' has his probably at about 37 degrees which i would say is warm.

eenybeeny · 12/05/2008 23:44

My DS drank his breastmilk from the breast - not sure what temp that is - formula at room temp and now he is on cows milk and that comes straight out of the fridge!! He has never been into warm stuff really!

I dont know about the tonsilitus thing - he seems better today much perkier than before. I will keep an eye!
