help! My insomnia is driving me to distraction. What can I do to sleep???

It is stress/anxiety related. I sleep erratically. Often wake by 5:30am . Feel dreadful.I need a solution - perleaaassseee help!

Apparently if you try and think of new inventions this occupies the part of your brain which is racing. By the time you have invented 3 new things you will be asleep.

I recommend (highly) tincture of valerian. Get it in health food type shops (but make sure you get a good brand like Bioforce).

It is fantastic herbal remedy - so good that it can leave you feeling a little hungover first thing in the morning. But by jove it works a treat. And if you take the tincture you can reduce the number of drops you have gradually, until you have broken your waking up at 5 pattern.

Even DH (cynical, geeky, grumpy) rates it.
