Hi,

I’m unsure what is going on been to my GP and sexual health clinic.

Recap This all started after sex 3 weeks ago now, I’m out a long term relationship and finally started dating again. Slept with someone new (dating) condom was worn which was new as long term relationship was different. I went with Skyn latex free / but could smell a scent to it (I’m very vary of things as had thrush many years ago that was stubborn) so never shower with stuff and I avoid swimming pools, baths cause i’m scared of upsetting things there! History of UTI too (chronic) during sex I felt dry, but it didn’t bleed and wasn’t sore sore. It felt more weird after but took dmannose and showered.
Then this feeling started just like a tingling sensation/warmth feeling for days so GP. Got given antibiotics but trimeporim hasn’t worked in past so unsure if still a UTI, I went back she then said thrush so took fluconazole and upped my kefir.
again nothing! So went to sexual health (less than 14 days since sex and results are negatives) the only thing was ph was acidic and told BV. I’ve finished treatment of the oral antibiotics. I’m left with a burning and I’m scared to have sex again incsse I pass on or it persists!
(no odour. No itch, burning and tingling is the worst internally and in vulva also seems red) kefir daily and lacto tablets to try kick it but not!

any ideas :( sexual health said if it persists to go back to gp yet already had a gynaecologist referral for painful periods awaiting

I'd treat for thrush again. When you say you took fluconazole, do you mean orally? Sometimes thrush needs pessaries and creams for me and the pessadymight need to be repeated. Often no itch, just sore like you described, and no discharge.

Otherwise, what age are you? Could it be perimenopause and you need localised oestrogen?

If BV I never got on with taking antibiotics. Get some Balance Activ pessaries from Boots.

Also make sure that your new partner is not using perfumed shower gels and soaps as if you have sentive fauna this can upset the balance.

I use Skyns condoms and they caused no problems so I think it might be the soap/gels/washes that might be causing.

Yeah it was just the tablet 150mg, few weeks ago then when I went to sexual health they said no thrush on swab but my ph was similar to what BV would be. Was confusing as never had that smell that bv has and its just burning ans tinglish more than anything
