Hi My dd has been sick since saturday night but apart from the throwing up and the odd bit of diahoreah (spelling?) she is okay within herself. Anyway by Monday night she was absolutely fine, no symptoms whatsoever and was completely herself. Took her and her sister out for the day yesterday (in service day), when she came home she had her dinner, proceded to have diahorea quite bad then vomitted everywhere, she got up in the middle of the night and asked for something to eat. She has been on the couch all morning and is now sleeping. What do I do??? Is it something else she now has, did I do to much with her yesterday and I have set her off again?? What do I do??? Thanks Sorry for the rambling?

Vomiting bugs can be off and on again I remember dd once had one that made her vomit at 6.30 pm every night for a week, another one went for a day then came back.

Oh so it might be the same bug then. He sister had it but stopped being sick very quickly then took 3 days to recover from it.

Yes, ime people can react differently to the same bug.

In your position I would let her sleep as long as she needs, make sure she drinks water/juice and watch and wait. It sounds like she has picked up a particularly nasty tummy bug that's taking a while to clear. If you're really concerned I would phone NHS Direct for advice about whether you should give her something to help rehydrate her (eg diaoralyte), but really given that she's not a baby I wouldn't be worried.

If she's hungry again remember BRAT- Bananas, rice, apples and toast are things she is more likely to keep down. Hope she feels better soon.

That's useful, Ledodgy - I hadn't heard that before.

I got it, like most of my information from this site.

Okay thanks. I was just wondering if it was the same bug or not. Thanks all.
