Feels very strange - been there for a few days. Same sensation as when you have anaesthetic at dentists.
(Im menopausal so could be some odd thing linked to that.)
Bit of an ache but not pain as such at this stage.
The numbness does feel odd.

Could be a compressed nerve. Try these exercises....

I'd speak to your GP, probably is just a touch of sciatica or trapped nerve etc, but there are other things that you want to rule out, cauda equina etc

Thank you for flagging that @Lellochip. I'd never heard of it. Looked up the symptoms and will keep an eye out for bladder / bowel symptoms

Hi @JJJJuniper
I've had this and still get it. I'm started to track mine as I think it might be cyclical and related to hormones. When I went to the GP they said it is sciatic but I'm starting to track when it occurs as I'm not convinced. Think it's hormones for me but yet to prove this!

JJJJuniper · 27/01/2025 18:14

@Lollyl88 everything about me seems to be linked to menopause at the minute so I guess there's a possible hormonal link (although obviously I dont have cycle to track in same way. Hope you find a cause.

I get the 'dentist feeling' on one side (started on my face but can pop up anywhere). Mine's due to migraine, which you've guessed it, are hormonal. Menopause truly is the gift that keeps giving Hmm
