Hi

Today I went to sexual health as I hadn’t been feeling right after sex. The same night I just felt offish there, then as times go on my main symptom has been this tinglish sensation higher up so possibly ovary pelvic. I don’t feel its painful but just an odd sensation constant mainly and it feels to get worse when bladder full. Then at times burning and irritation not worse when peeing until few days ago.
Doctor did a swab which I’m unsure if was just one for thrush week ago, and never got my results back. On examination she said it looked like thrush gave me fluconazole and I thought maybe slightly better but then unfortunately it never.

When I went to sexual health they’ve done full checks and used this thing which says my PH and even lab came back saying likely BV. Due to high acidity. The thing is I didn’t have any discharge or smell and he didn’t finish inside. My previous long term partner sperm never threw things off. I did though use different condoms which was skyn and prior to use smelled scent to it! Could this have set Bv? Nurse also said doesn’t look like thrush and watery

i’ve been given an antibiotic to take but i’m now worried about this as have a history prone to thrush, am I best taking as don’t want to end up with oral and vaginal thrush like antibiotics do to me. Then worry if I take fluconazole it will do nothing since I took that time docs said and now told nope. Don’t want resistance as used to use this a lot years ago when recurrent thrush, I seen online there is a natural treatment for bv that gets good reviews but would this treat the higher up if I feel it in bladder or ovary (not that i know exactly where but i just know its higher internally.) hesistant due to going on holiday. (I know not docs but its more experiences as really shocked today when she said BV) when its something I didn’t feel symptoms matched

(no discharge, no smell, not itchy as such just tingly and burny, full bladder aggravates)

I wonder if it could actually be that you're allergic to the latex in condoms.

I'm pretty sure thrush is acidic and bv is alkaline? Ive just finished an antibiotic for bv. My ph is very alkaline. For me bv is like a fishy smell with watery discharge. And it's caused by the sperm , I also notice that wearing fleecy pjs brings it on so I've put them in the charity bin.

Those skyn ones with a scent bothered me too.

Make sure you get unscented ones

Oh god, I’m sure she said acidic - definitely did labs test on spot and went BV. And what love my fleecy PJs! Thats rubbish. Why is it being a woman comes with so much!

i took the antibiotic today and know i’ll need to watch for thrush now

These were skyn latex free, but definitely had some sort of scent to them. Think the lube on the condom as we didn’t use any :(
