Mouth ulcers

I've always had recurring mouth ulcers, I switched to SLS free toothpaste and rarely get them anymore. I ran out of toothpaste this week so just used an ordinary one.

I've now got a really painful ulcer at the back of my mouth/roof of mouth, start of throat area. It's really red and swollen, hurts to eat and I can't open my mouth properly. I've been pretty stressed this week and obviously have used toothpaste with SLS in it 😠 which I'm presuming is why I've got this now. My throat is sore AF and my ear is hurting from it.

I don't have any Anbesol that I'd usually use. Are there any other remedies I can try to ease the pain from it?

Thanks for replying..so you are still getting ulcers what a nightmare
I'm a bit worried at what is causing them I read about using a sls free toothpaste so I've been using one about three weeks now but no improvement as I'm still getting ulcers
They are so painful and eating is bloody painful.. I sort of feel silly seeing the doctor about mouth ulcers but it's painful and I'm fed up of hardly having a break before I get one or a group of them again ..
