Super painful mouth burn

I burnt my mouth last Tuesday because I'd accidentally microwaved my lunch for over 5 mins and bit into it at work, felt I couldn't spit it out because I was at work, and fast forward I've been in constant pain since Thursday particularly. Popping ibuprofen every 4 hours I'm awake but now it hurts in the bottom of my jaw and lymph nodes area of my neck on the same side. The whole area just throbs. I take it this is a it'll get better soon situation and I just gave to ride it out? Feel a bit stupid making a GP appointment over a burn in my mouth 🙈 pixeled the rest of my mouth cos inside of mouth pics are not pretty lol

Ooooh op that looks so sore, did you actually swallow the food? I've done that before but I stupidly swallowed the food and omg my oesophagus was on fire it was burning and the roof of my mouth.
It felt really sore to swallow for a good few days and it felt so sore, I was worried I'd damaged my oesophagus tbh
I didn't do anything I just waited for it to subside, I'd give it a few days anyway and see how you are? Maybe pop to the chemist and show them, they might suggest something

I burned my mouth badly last year and used this gel: Anbesol Adult Strength Gel for Rapid Pain Relief from Mouth Ulcers and Denture Irritation, Contains Lidocaine 2 Percent,

It took about two weeks to heal so you have my sympathies.

Difflam mouth spray for the pain and warm saltwater rinses.
