Swollen top of 2nd toe

Both 2nd toes have been slightly sore for a few weeks but now one of them is swollen. Any ideas ?

Are your shoes too small? Have you been wearing thicker socks? I’d put some savlon on them for now.

Shoes not too small . Have awful feet with bunions and have had for years.
