DS exhausted and pale - is it a weird virus?

Hi,

I wondered if I could just ask in case anybody else is seeing the same?

My DS14 has suddenly become totally drained and exhausted yesterday and today. His face is white as a sheet but with very red cheeks. His temperature is normal and he has no other symptoms.

He was fine the previous day. We are home schooling because he is out of school with anxiety and an EOTAS package. We did a great day of home school two days ago. He did great work and was his normal self with good colour and energy to go for a 3 mile walk.

Yesterday and today all he can do is lie in bed and is colour is really wrong. I've never seen this happen with him before at all.

I just wondered if this is some kind of funny virus that's going round and if anybody else is seeing the same?

I have covid and flu tests in the house, but I haven't tried them as he has no fever. He is not vaccinated against either but has only been out to the supermarket in the last few days. He wears a mask in the supermarket as he is recovering from a very bad norovirus infection pre-Christmas, so it would have been hard for him to pick up anything new.

Thanks!

I think he is okay for potassium and sodium and water, because he has oven chips and coconut water every day for potassium and salami and other salty things every day for sodium, and he just drank whole pint of water.

Actually, I think maybe he has an old fashioned chill. Working on it.

Iron deficiency?

Is the bottom inside eye rim white rather than pink? That's a sign of low iron.

It turned out that he had got cold right through. I warmed him up and he is fine now.
