Anyone been diagnosed with visceral hypersensitivity? Gastritis symptoms

I've had gastritis symptoms for a year. Mainly a constant burning pain in my stomach. Had gastroscopy and colonoscopy which were normal but the doctor said I was in huge pain in the colonoscopy and they had to keep giving me more and more sedation. I don't remember any of it thankfully! He said this is visceral hypersensitivity which means my body is experiencing pain when it shouldn't. So it's like a nerve overexcitability issue. Nothing otherwise wrong with me.

He has suggested taking SSRIs to see if reducing my stress/anxiety will help. Just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with this? And if any treatment has helped? I'm also wondering about gut-based hypnotherapy but not sure where to start with this.
