I’m 4 months pregnant with my third child and for the last few weeks I’ve been getting upper stomach ache right in the centre and across to the left under my ribs after eating or drinking anything. The area isn’t painful when touched but I’m very aware that the area feels inflamed most of the time. When I lay on my left side when sleeping. It almost feeling like a stitch or something within my ribs catching when I breathe in and out.
I saw a GP yesterday who said it was just gastric due to baby growing but I’m almost 6ft tall and baby is very low down in my pelvis. I had similar pains to this but right side in my pregnancy with my eldest and doctors believed it was my gallbladder as I had a terrible attack but once I was scanned there was nothing abnormal to be seen.
I would say, most of the time the pain sits at a 5/10 and when it’s at its worst, if I push the area I feel pain in my upper chest and left shoulder blade. I am so worried about my spleen/pancreas also on this side but the GP was unconcerned.
I’ve been take Gaviscon with no huge change.
Has anyone had anything like this?
