Mould exposure - stupidly made myself feel sick

(Yes, I'm an idiot) I had some of that part-baked bread hanging around over Christmas. It went bad because I don't really like bread but I missed the compost collection. By the time I put it out for collection today, it was very badly mouldy and I inhaled a lot while putting it out. I now have a headache (rare for me) and feel sick and suddenly realised this is the probable cause. Is there anything I can do apart from ride out the nausea? I've taken a paracetamol.

It would take time (days) to form an infection after exposure so it is more likely to be anxiety making you feel bad. Rest, distract yourself, get some fresh air.

I'm definitely feeling nauseous which is also very rare for me. Maybe it's just too much coffee, then.

Blimey, I would be dead if it was that easy.

Do you have health anxiety?

amoreoamicizia · 07/01/2025 13:34

No, no anxiety of any sort. I'm feeling sick. But I have had six or seven coffees on an empty stomach. I usually have about five so maybe it's a coffee too far.

This wasn't just a little mould- a cloud of it rose up as I opened the pack and the crust of the bread was not visible, only mould.

I hate bread, I don't know why I buy it. It just ends up in bin 😭
