It could be innocent, to be on the safe side take her to the G.P's.

My daughter 3.5 months old had a lump in her neck, about the size of a pea. she has had a cold for about 2 weeks now, doc said it was her nymph nodes?, 'has she had a cold'?

It was a relief to hear, but worrying all the same.

Get it checked out, don't leave it

Friend had exactly the same - a small lump under nipple. Went to 2 docs who said hormonal and when she develops a bit more it will absorb.I would go and have it checked just to put your mind at rest .

my dd had this, apparently it's hormones left over from when you had her. completly normal and harmless and will dissappear in time.

go and double check with gp tho just to put your mind at rest

had horrible thing tonight, was getting ds2 ready for bath, noticed one nipple was looking bit purple and inverted, when i showed dh i felt a lump- quite big. Its about the size of 10p peice and feels quite thick and solid and it moves a bit. Have phoned NHS direct cos just didnt know what else to do and am now waiting for return call. Have since googled it and lots of hits saying its quite common, although something that said it could be mastitis!! Anyone any experience of this?

MadCreamLady · 08/11/2008 20:11

my DD had this as a baby, i checked it with HV and she said it is normal and v common but to just keep an eye on it as can be mastitis. It went on its own.
