IIRC, from first spot appearing to all being scabbed was about 10days.

all spots appear over the course of 5/6days and take about 3/4days to dry....

but my children only had 50-60 spots - not bad cases at all.

Psychomum5 · 03/05/2008 10:00

takes about 14-21days for siblings to get it, unless they 'caught' it at the same time??

and siblings for some reason get it worse too if they catch from another sibling....something about the constant exposure instead of just one IYGWIM.

tis rotten for the, so sympathy from me.

mankyscotslass · 03/05/2008 10:00

With my older two it was about 6 days, but littlest manky was still erupting fresh blisters 10 days after he started. Doctor said was worst case he had seen in ages. Over all until his last one crusted over was 2 weeks!!

Psychomum5 · 03/05/2008 10:01

ooh....bathing them in bicarbinate of soda helps the spots dry up quicker....

was a tip given to me years ago when my boys had it, helped lots

schmoopoo · 03/05/2008 10:01

DD had it at 6 Months and now first spot developed THursday more yesterday and today about 30 in total fingers crossed she has it mildly then. DS hasn't had it yet
