Could this be a symptom of very low blood pressure?

I am 50, just entered menopause but in general healthy and fit. But in last year or longer I have had a few episodes or feeling faint and also this occasional weak feeling in my legs - like my legs are going to buckle under me. But most of the time I am ok and can e.g. run 5 km without a problem etc.

I do have low blood pressure (I always have had it) - could it be related to that.

I am planning to get it checked out but in the meantime worrying that I have heart failure or something!

I have low BP and it has definitely got worse as I go through the menopause (I'm 52 this year but still having periods).

I have just bought a blood pressure monitor so I can measure it at home but I went and did some health thing for the NHS and they took my Bp and said it was very low. In fact they made me wait to make sure it went up before they would let me go!

Sorry I realise I didn't answer you - yes I get that leg buckling feeling. I've been adding a load more salt into my diet and it has been helping.

(But also worth getting it checked out! )

Thanks @TheCheeseIsCallingMe - that’s reassuring. But, yes, I am going to raise it with my doctor.

@Newmeagain can I ask how you're doing? I'm in a similar boat but going through peri (I'm 43)
