breastfeeding and period regularity....

DD is 5.5 mo, she is bf. My periods returned in March. Before I got PG with DD I was v v v regular, exactly 28 days to my cycle without fail. So much so when I was a day overdue for my period I knew I was PG with DD.

So my question is when you get you periods back after giving birth ans while still bf is it possible for them to be a bit out of whack?

Dunno yet MissMolly - DS is 5 months and not returned yet...hoping to get a few more months out of it!

I know StrangeTown, I was gutted when they came back, I was hoping for a few more period free months.

Mine didn't come back until I had finished bfing each of my DCs (over a year each time), even when it was down to 2 feeds a day I still had nothing. I was really glad! Most people I know who fed for longer did get them back though - but not sure how regularly.

Mine came back when ds was 6 months & were pretty irregular for 9 cycles (24-36 days) until I night weaned him. The first cycle after night weaning I ovulated on day 14 & got pregnant.

Oooh Minster DD hasn't had a night feed in ages now, surely I can't be PG this quick!!

I'm ex BFing and had one when dd was 6 wks, one at 10 wks and nothing since. She's now 15wks. Am not expecting things to settle down any time soon!
