Nothing all day then flooding - periods

I started my period on Sunday, I've had a really heavy going period then this morning and all day zero blood so I thought oh it's a day early but I must be done.

This evening I sat on the sofa and started cramping and literally flooded - why does that happen? I've had no bleeding all day not even to wipe and then Armageddon!

@menopausalfart absolutely - I have a psychotherapist and felt incapable of doing anything last week when I spoke to her. I genuinely feel so so so angry, so depressed before my period. I spent most of Boxing Day morning in bed as just couldn't face the world.

I was totally overwhelmed and felt very alone.

@ineedtowomanup So glad you have help. I hate the thought of other women having no idea what's going on and being fobbed off with antidepressants instead of what they really need, which is hormone replacement.

@menopausalfart I had a brief convo with a family
Member who is a GP not mine and they've suggested mirena coil. Is this HRT?

@ineedtowomanup All I know about the coil is that it's used as a contraceptive, can also be used to lessen your flow and some use them alongside estrogen for meno symptoms.

Hello being referred for an ultrasound to check womb.

Also yesterday and today nausea and headache - then today a bleed. Day 8 of cycle so I think an ovulation bleed. Do you think it's like evolution as nature knows you're heading towards the last years of being able to get pregnant it just makes you feel rubbish the entire time.
