I am getting really OTT about dd's health. She is five and she seems to have usual ailments, nothing out of ordinary. I have always been a bit over concerned about her since birth. I panic at every cold, bug etc. I can calm myself
down and talk sense into myself after a while. It has got to point where I do not want to go on hols to Turkey next week in case she gets sick. I am all up a height to start off with due to flying phobia. I honestly do not think i will be going

Have you talked it over with a gp? its not really the time to start exploring why you feel like this just before you go on holiday but they might be able to recommend tactics to help you cope.

In general coughs and colds are coughs and colds where ever you are. You can minimise food issues by the sort of food you choose and giving her bottled water and not ice cubes or salads. Having a plan of what you will do if she gets so and so illness might be a useful tactic for you and an appropriate first aid kit. Perhaps also knowing where the local doctors are in advance might allay some of your fears too?

I hope you find a way around this so that you can enjoy a nice holiday. Imagine how great you will feel if you can do this

I have tried diazepam for going, but it does not work. Don;t want to do long term anti-depressants cos I am happy most of time. I think it is a form of agrophobia.
