They have bled and the one tooth seems a bit wobbly ,should i take her to the dentist or is it a case of wait and see?

I would take her to the dentists.

Ring the dentist for advice.

My son came off his bike when he was 6 and we hjad to ring round dentists to find one who would see him. His tooth is wonky and slightly discoloured and we are hoping his second set one will be okay.

She is sleeping now so i will call them for advice thanks.

ring the dentist....they will most likely see her today.

I would say that it will settle down, my DS1 did this with his front teeth at about the same age, and his were fine, didn;t go black either.

Just rang them and they want to see her at 3pm just to check her really. It will be a mad rush as i have to be at work for 4pm.

My DS1 has just knocked his bottom 2 teeth on the stairs (lounge door left open and he made a run for it) which promptly bleed a lot and are now wobbly/loose. Rang the out of hours surgery based at the local hospital (we live in Holland and today is a bank holiday) who said there was nothing they could do as they were milk teeth. I wasn't convinced by response so we have just rung an emergency dentist who wants to see him asap - DH just taken him now. I came onto Mumsnet as soon as he'd gone so see if I could find out what to expect ie will they fall out/ turn black etc etc and saw your message Pelvicfloornomore. Fingers crossed for both our littles ones! Will let you know what the dentist says on DH's return.

My dd2 knocked her two top front teeth badly coming off her scooter. They were very sore but not wobbly, then went a bit grey. The dentist had a look but said they didn't seem too badly damaged. One has gone back to white, the other is still a bit grey, but apparently her big teeth should be fine.

HTH

Me again - DS1 back from dentists - mostly good news which is v reassuring. They took an x-ray to check for broken teeth etc and that was all clear. Said that given his age, they will heal quite quickly but to stick to soft foods for 2 weeks to help things along. There is a low risk of nerve damage - which is when the tooth goes black/grey but that can also be temporary (she said to think of it like a bruised tooth). Its a case of just wait and see - and get a new stairgate for the bottom of the stairs

Thanks for replies

Olliewolliewoo-Must have been a day for knocking teeth then. Our dentist basically said the same as yours, keep an eye on them, soft diet,go back in 2 weeks.dd has been moaning about them hurting so is a bit tender i think.
I hope your ds is ok now olliewolliewoo?

He seems fine - gums look a bit bruised and he cried a bit when he picked up his brothers juice bottle (with a hard spout) and put it in his mouth but other than that fine! I'm almost too scared to look in his mouth tho in case the teeth have moved!!!! Glad your DD is okay too - things could have been a lot worse I suppose and we could have had toothless wonders for kids!
