Bowel cancer symptoms?

Currently waiting, anxiously, for my colonoscopy after experiencing some symptoms. Appointment is in January. I wanted to ask, what are the most common symptoms of colon cancer please?

I have a stabbing pain to the left of my belly button. Changed bowel movements for 2 months. Alternating diarrhoea, loose stools and constipation. Straining to get gas out. Some bright red blood on wiping.

Also, how accurate are qFIT tests? Ie, if negative, are the chances of colon cancer very low?

My fit was negative but calprotectin was positive.

Thank you for thinking of me :) it was okay, I didn't mind the prep either! Not the effects, but the taste was fine. I shook the whole way through the procedure so they kept piling me with blankets, but I think it was the unnatural situation rather than being cold! They took lots of biopsies, found a 18mm polyp so that's a bit worrying, and found two small ulcers. They said it looked like I had some kind of virus previously, but couldn't find inflammation. 6-8 weeks for results. Unfortunately the polyp was in an awkward place so I need to have another in 6 months to make sure they got it all! Hope you're doing okay!

@rose7120 oh bless you, that doesn't sound overly pleasant. Glad you're okay. I hope you get your biopsy results relatively quickly and it's a good sign they did not find any inflammation. Sending you best wishes. X

Hi all
after reading all ur messages wanted to share my feelings. 12 days ago whilst on night shift experienced tummy cramp, bad diahirrea, sweating, blood in loo pan, tissue, colleague put blankets on me as was shaken and shivering. Doctors next day. Tests for bacteria clear but FIT test reading 104. Bloods all normal. No more blood from poo etc etc. Got shop tests all negative not sure accurately level. Waiting on colonoscopy checking for colorectal cancer. No weight loss. Issues started coincidentally when I drank a Coco vito strawberry and cream drink with stevia in ?! Any thoughts.
