Have I dislocated my finger?! (Photo warning)

Hi all

I've really hurt my finger on the school run/pushing pram.

Does this look like I've dislocated it?! Or a bone in my hand (I've no idea so offering potential causes)

I can move it but it doesn't go all the way 'back' to my hand, like I can't close all my fingers together. I hope that makes sense! I can bend it though.

I can move my little finger nearly all the way out away from my hand now. My wrist and hand hurts but isn't particularly swollen. I am getting slight pins and needles in my fingers from time to time too.

I have a GP appointment today for unrelated matter so might try mention it then although they are strict on a 1 problem only per appointment. Other options are pharmacy or A&E (which I really think I need to do or want to do).

I've attached a photo of my good hand for comparison.

Looks alright to me I was expecting right angles 😂

OP, is it your right hand? And the photo is how far you can close it to the rest of your hand? If so, think you need medical attention.

Can you get it further in than the photo?.
IANAD but I agree not dislocated if you can bend it.... but where it is is definitely off.

And that's my left hand to show how far I can move it outwards in comparison. That's my good hand.

My bad right hand I can only close it like this @Vatqueenquestion

I am wiggling my fingers around. Weirdly, I think your left doesn't go very far out and your injured right goes about as far as mine does normally! But you should be able to close it.

Mention to GP. If they say they can't look at it due to the one issue one appointment thing, have you got a minor injuries near you?

I do it's in A&E but that's an idea about popping there :) thank you @Vatqueenquestion
