My fingers are becoming really disfigured with osteoarthritis. My middle knuckles in particular are swollen so I can't get any rings on any more and they're becoming increasingly stiff and painful. To be honest, I've always thought there was very little I can do about it. My mother and grandmother both had the same problem and both my sisters now do as well. Should I seek a referral to a rheumatologist? I'm just not sure if I might look back and regret not doing something sooner. My hands are already so ugly now… Feeling a bit sorry for myself. Any advice?
