Slightly Raised AFP level in 1 year old daughter

Hi,

I'm absolutely panicking.

My now 1 year old daughter had an appointment and a blood test done in the hospital about 4 weeks ago.

The reason was because she has very fine hair in her pubic area.

I now received a letter that all her blood results were normal, but that she has a slightly raised AFP level.

On recommendation of biochemist, the consultant requested a phlebotomy appointment and a scan of her pelvis and abdomen to look for any source of excess hormone.

I will have a further appointment in 4 months time with the consultant to review everything.

I found on Google that a raised AFP level can indicate a tumour and I'm absolutely bricking it now and I'm so sad. :(((

Has anyone had this and the outcome was good? xx
