recovery time - anyone had a mole removed from inner toe?

I had a mole removed from the inside of my toe 10 days ago. Wound hasn't started to scab yet (I think most likely because it is between my toes it is constantly pressing/rubbing against other toe so not getting a chance to)

I am wondering if anyone else has had this and how long it took to see improvement? I currently can't walk properly and am hobbling about on my heel. my toe is throbbing and red and swollen. i can't see any signs of infections in terms of puss etc therefore not fancying sitting in the Drs surgery for hours waiting to be seen if it is normal healing time - just looking for experience of others so I can gauge an idea if this is normal or worth checking. TIA

I not a doctor but I’ve had a mole removed from the back of my hand and there was no recovery time at all. I was able to use my hand normally just with a dressing in top.

Being in pain, being unable to walk normally and throbbing red and swollen sounds like an infection and you should go and see a doctor today. Yes today.

If the area around the toe is red now, draw a line around the red part with a biro pen and take a phone on your phone ( so it’s time stamped).

Also why is the wound site rubbing against the other toes- don’t you have a bandage on it to protect it ?

no. It had a dressing on when it was first done but I was told to remove it after 48 hours to allow air to circulate ( have been redressing only when I am having to wear shoes/walk and then removing again when I can be at home and sat down). I was also told by the hospital that your feet are the slowest part of your body to recover so that, coupled with the fact it is between my toes and therefore constantly against something (my other toe or a dressing) it is expected to take longer to heal than removal from other areas. By chance my Dr phoned me for something unrelated and I mentioned it to her and she isn't concerned - it could be 4 weeks for recovery because of where the wound is situated :)
