Is 'wee' really sterile???

Bad parent moment - DD2 (7 months) getting a bit fresh air so to speak on changing mat, has a wee all over clothes - doting parents don't notice. DD2 then proceeds to suck on wee covered clothes, probably for a fair

I am 99.9% certain there is no real problem but.......what if??

Reassurance please.

Marthamoo - it's true, it does (and I do too - but only when I have too, IYSWIM).

If only Mumsnet hadn't crashed last night we could have had hours of fun here!

Couldn't we just! Anyone got any other nice wee wee stories they wish to share?

warmmum · 10/01/2005 19:07

My particular favourite is when they don't get to the loo on time and the floodgates open into the shoes and carpet - just SOOOOOO nice [yuck]

nasa · 10/01/2005 19:27

I can just see the bloke coming up with the name for The Athlete's Foot ,"I know, I know, you're going to love this one, pure genius, wait for it..."

marthamoo · 10/01/2005 19:28

I see two blokes like Beavis and Butthead..."hur, hur, hur...I goddit, I goddit...athlete's foot, hur, hur."

nasa · 10/01/2005 19:31

do all the trainers in the shop have flaky bits in them?

marthamoo · 10/01/2005 19:33

Ugh, dunno - I'm not going in!

nasa · 10/01/2005 19:35

"special offer this week only, 25% more flakes in each shoe"

is it in Macc? (I think that's where you're from? - without sounding too stalkerish!)

noddyholder · 10/01/2005 19:36

very good for your skin the main content in many posh face creams is urea

nasa · 10/01/2005 19:37

god for a minute there noddy I thought you meant athletes foot!

marthamoo · 10/01/2005 19:38

It is where I'm from (yikes! I have my own stalker )

nasa · 10/01/2005 19:40

Mwha, ha, ha, ha

I only remember cos ages ago there was a macc meet up and I thought "oo I might go to that" (live near stockport) and also because would like to live in Rainow (which doesn't really have that much to do with it). I have a good memory for which mumsnetters are nearish. Although would never go to an RL meet as you're obviously all saddos with no life who spend all their time on the t'internet.

noddyholder · 10/01/2005 19:43

OMG nasa I only read the question not the full thread yuck!

nasa · 10/01/2005 19:52

have I scared you off moo with my stalker like behaviour ?

Lonelymum · 10/01/2005 20:01

So are my kids justified in not washing their hands after doing a wee? I must admit I don't always but don't tell them that!

marthamoo · 11/01/2005 11:49

No, you haven't scared me off nasa! I didn't realise you were near Stockport. I wouldn't mind living in Rainow either - it's gorgeous there and the Primary School is fantastic.

nasa · 11/01/2005 14:53

back again marthamoo - I know, it's gorgeous isn't it. We nearly bought a house there but it was so expensive and tiny. i did get very excited about sending DS to the primary school though.
