I hate to say it, but it sounds like she might have been quite civil.

She was being civil cos she wanted me to agree to contact her and also the SW was sat next to me, she was frosty with Lee the carer and told him he was abrupt

Just because she wants you to contact her doesn't mean you will be able too.

You won't want to leave Steve's side to contact unimportant MIL's his mother.

Hi OJ, like I said a while ago, we are all here with you in spirit. Even though you are having to face each day in RL, we are all always with you, always hoping, praying, smiling, grieving alongside you, just as if we were a crowd of respectfully rowdy mates in your sittingroom . You will never be alone in this unless you want to be. If our comments become too much, if this thread becomes something you can't face for a while, then tell us. We'll push off outside for a while until you need us again. Don't be afraid to ask.
