Seemingly endless niggling joint pains - ankle sore, wrist sore, elbow sore and that's not unusual. Am I just too old to go on?

Title says it all really. I seem to have constant joint niggles. I don't think it's an arthritis type thing - it feels more like lots of little tendon probs and sprains.

The wrist and elbow I guess are due to lugging the huge weight of my DD but I can't be the only person having to lift small children and no one else complains as much as I do

I can't even do any exercise atm because of it (yoga would hurt my wrist, running would hurt my ankle, oh and before my ankle started hurting my hip was giving me gyp...)

Are there supplements you can take?

am not overly sure on this, so this will be a bumpy post more than anything, but my MIL swears by cod liver oil for joints and reckons I would benefit for my back and neck.

am resisting for now, (the fishy after taste more than anything), but they reckon it is good.

otherwise.....

Ok you're sitting mumsnetting is it the same wrist or elbow that you are using the mouse with if so it could be RSI and also note your feet position whilst mn'ing I sometimes realise I am not sitting well at the computer at all and considering the amount of time I spend on it often get aches and pains. I diagnose Mumsnetitus.

LOL at mumsnetitis. That could well be a good point!

It's my right wrist (mouse user as am right handed) but my left elbow and my left ankle. The wrist thing could well be RSI. The elbow I think is a strain from lifting. The ankle is just decrepitude I think. A couple of months ago my knees were hurting, and my hip as I mentioned. Honestly, it's pathetic.

It's a good point about sitting posture. Will amend immediately. But I'm also generally worried about the amount of these niggles I get. Cod liver oil is a good point too. Will try that .
