Explosive gastrics. Food poisoning? Or Noro? What can help

So yesterday at work i was suddenly taken ill rather explosively and had to run out and drive home as my spare pants were used up and just had trousers left.

Last evening and night I have continued. I get tummy pain and wind which then has a dramatic, immediate effect. Sometimes I am sick at the same time. The washing machine is in full use.

I am not eating anything, just sipping water. It has slowed down but still rather blasting. Is there anything I should be taking or doing. It's the explosive nature of it that is debilitating.

I think you just have to wait it out unfortunately. A GP recommended to me once to drink slightly cooled boiled water as it means it is really gentle on the stomach as any pathogens in the water have been killed.

Have you got any dioralyte type things?
Or sports drinks?

If not, maybe sugary drinks with a bit of salt added in as an emergency, and get someone to drop you off some dioralyte?

Explosions hopefully decreased. Just feel worn out. Might try some soup for lunch.

Sip cooled boiled water little and often. Also get hold of some dioralyte or drink flat full sugar lemonade.

It’s def a horrible stomach bug, I’m just recovering now on day 5.

Oh and get plenty of rest. Lots of sleep!

Thank you @Cupcakes19. I went back to work on Thursday taking a lot of spare clothes! Been ok since and now eating normally. Of course, now got the opposite problem....
